Viki Vortex and the Cumshots was formed in 2008 in Girona, Spain by Steve from 70\u2019s punk band, The Spurts and Viki Vortex.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Their debut gig was in the summer of 2008 in Spain with a local drummer. Later they kidnapped Theo from psychobilly band, The Long Tall Texans to join the crew, thus completing the lineup:
Viki Vortex \u2013 lead vocals and bass
Steve Manuell \u2013 guitar and backing vocals
Theo Theodotou \u2013 drums and sarcastic comments<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Cumshots mix the influences of 70\u2019s punk, 50\u2019s rockabilly and any other trashy music they love \u2013 basically fast, stroppy and loud.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Their first track, Crazy Bloody Fool, was released on Brown Bag Propaganda\u2019s Radio Riot II in October 2009.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

November 2009 they recorded their first ep in Brighton, UK, and in January 2010 Viki Vortex and the Cumshots unleashed their debut self-titled EP on the world. Containing 4 tracks, the album was available on a now sold out CD, but still available digitally.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

In December 2011, Viki Vortex and the Cumshots hit the studio again to record another ep \u2013 My Plastic Friend \u2013 available on iTunes, Amazon or CD (sold out).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

May 2013 saw the release by\u00a0<\/span>STP Records<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>of their first full length CD \u2013 Bittersweet Twisted Treats \u2013 a limited edition run which has now sold out online.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Early 2014, Viki Vortex and the Cumshots\u00a0released Countdown to a Breakdown on cassette format (with download codes for mp3s). The cassette features the title\u00a0track and two more new songs along with 4 tracks from the sold out Bittersweet Twisted Treats CD. There are a limited amount of copies still available!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

January 2014,\u00a0they released Splat which sold out quickly but is still available digitally.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In 2017, An Altered State of Mine was released at Rebellion Festival 2017. Original copies came with 3d glasses. A reprint is still available from the band!<\/p>\n

In February 2020, Viki Vortex and the Cumshots got together in Spain for a final rehearsal of their forthcoming album with the intention of going to the UK the following month to record at Brighton Road Studios. We all know how 2020 turned out. Fast forward (yes, please) to June 2023 when Steve and Viki flew to the UK to join Theo in the recording studio \u2013 finally. The new 12 track album was recorded and mixed by the Amazing Ali in 8 hours.\u00a0<\/p>\n

By pure luck, Del Strangefish from Peter and the Test Tube Babies was in the same studio the next day and offered to add a bit of Test Tube-y flair to the track Toxic. (Although he was a little disappointed that it was -not- a Brittany Spears cover). Not wanting to be outdone, Daryl Smith from Cock Sparrer also offered his amazing guitar work on another track, Time’s Up. Fancy fretwork!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Currently, Viki Vortex and the Cumshots are shooting for gigs in the UK, Europe and what-have-you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
